Adam Bernstein
Adam Bernstein
Adam is a Senior Associate in Maples Teesdale's commercial real estate team and heads up the Hospitality and Leisure Sector team. He advises a varied client base consisting of a number of household names in the leisure and hospitality sector on their real estate growth and asset management requirements as well as specialising in providing legal advice to some of the most exciting new brands from the UK and overseas who are wanting to enter the sector.  He also has extensive experience of capital transactions and active management of office, retail and industrial parks and shopping centres.

Anastasia is a Partner in Maples Teesdale’s commercial real estate team and Head of ESG at the firm. Anastasia is a member of the British Property Federation's Green Lease Working Group, a founding member of the Allbright women’s networking club, an active member of Real Estate Balance, and registered as a speaker with Diversity Talks Real Estate and a committee member of RE:Women. Anastasia has extensive experience of capital transactions; acquisitions, disposals and refinancing of commercial property, including portfolios and sale and leaseback transactions; developments, pre-lets as well as asset management [shopping centres, retail parks, hotels, warehouses, industrial parks and offices]; and specialist expertise in dealing with embassy and ambassadorial premises. Anastasia is the co-Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Maples Teesdale. As an individual is passionate about the need for diversity within the legal profession, Anastasia pro-actively supports, and helps drive our Firm’s view that a diverse workplace is key to our business. Anastasia is also responsible for selecting trainees and paralegals to join our team. Anastasia is also a keen advocate of women raising their visibility in both the legal profession and the real estate industry. Her first experience of public speaking was moderating a panel discussion at Bisnow’s inaugural Women in Real Estate event, in front of an audience of over 450 people Anastasia also a founding member of the Allbright women’s networking club, an active member of Real Estate Balance, and registered as a speaker with Women Talk Real Estate and RE:Women.
Chris Xitsas

Chris is a Partner in the commercial real estate team and heads up the Living sector, with a broad range of experience across all aspects of investment, development and asset management work, as well as strategic land advice. Chris specialises in capital transactions and active management of office parks and retail assets, with a particular focus on the repositioning of town-centre shopping centres. He also has notable experience in site assembly, collaboration and land promotion agreements (acting for promoters and owners), and has a deep knowledge of development projects acting for institutional investors, student accommodation developers and educational institutions

Declan is Head of Real Estate at Maples Teesdale and is one of the UK’s leading real estate development lawyers working on high profile projects in the offices, industrial/logistics, town centre repositioning, and living sectors, for both developers and institutional funders. Declan's development experience includes retail, offices, mixed use, student accommodation, PRS and industrial/distribution including forward funding, forward purchases, joint venture agreements, development agreements, rent sharing leases, construction aspects and warranties, rights of light, stopping up orders and planning.   Declan has extensive experience of commercial property investment sales and purchases, including portfolio sales and purchases and sales and leasebacks.  Declan is also experienced in commercial property asset management, including new lettings, lease renewals and lease regearings.

Ellie is a Senior Associate in the corporate and commercial team with experience in a broad range of transactions covering a number of jurisdictions and including the use of W&I insurance, various purchase price adjustments and tickets reaching $300m. She has significant experience in corporate acquisitions and disposals, ranging from single asset to multi-company portfolio transactions, establishing and managing joint ventures, acting for minority or majority shareholder investors and company management and restructuring.
Fei  Pan
Fei Pan
Fei is an Associate in the construction team where he advises on acquisitions, disposals, and development projects (new build and refurbishments), and negotiates and drafts the relevant construction and consultancy contracts. Fei commenced his practice in Australia, where he has experience in contentious construction matters, and has acted for both developers and contractors on disputes relating to residential and infrastructure projects, including matters that have been referred to mediation, arbitration and the Courts.
John Bosworth
John Bosworth
John is Head of Planning at Maples Teesdale and has extensive experience working in both the private and public sectors. He advises on local authorities, statutory undertakers, developers, investors, regeneration agencies and housing associations on a wide range of legal issues associated with development as well as regeneration, infrastructure and strategic land projects. In particular he has advised on waste proposals, port development and in connection with the expansion of London Ashford Airport. John advises on all aspects of town and country planning, judicial review, highways and drainage and compulsory purchase and compensation.
Michael Craik
Michael Craik
Michael is a Consultant in the construction team advising on both non-contentious and contentious construction matters, advising a wide range of clients (public and private sector) including funders, developers, contractors and consultants. He has an in-depth knowledge of industry standard forms including JCT, NEC and FIDIC and extensive experience of drafting and negotiating construction contracts for new build and refurbishment projects in the energy, health, educational and R&D sectors, including PFI/PPP and LIFT projects. Michael has significant experience of resolving construction disputes through mediation/ADR, adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings.  This includes cross-border disputes (eg ICC and LCIA arbitration), professional negligence claims and claims arising from insolvency during construction projects such as the enforcement of performance bonds and guarantees.

Neil is a Partner in Maples Teesdale’s commercial real estate team and is Head of the Offices sector team.  Neil has extensive experience of commercial property investment sales and purchases; commercial developments (acting for developers and landowners); residential development site assemblies and land promotions; and a wide variety of commercial landlord and tenant matters (acting for landlords and occupiers) and funding matters (acting for lenders and borrowers). The types of properties dealt with include London and provincial offices, warehouses, business parks, retail parks , hotels, pubs, on-shore and off-shore wind farms, shopping centres, data centres, a railport, a manufacturing and assembly building, a metal processing plant, an airport catering area, the O2 Dome, an NHS hospital, a role-on-roll-off ferry terminal and container port, farms and a full range of residential properties including build-to-rent housing blocks.  Neil also has specialist expertise in dealing with several embassy and ambassadorial premises.

Paul is a corporate real estate partner and has extensive experience of portfolio acquisitions or disposals through group company structures often involving multiple jurisdictions; joint ventures including all forms of joint venture vehicles from private companies to all types of partnerships, LLPs and unit trusts and other unincorporated associations; SPV sales and purchases (for example to effect SDLT mitigation schemes); Jersey Property Unit Trusts (JPUTs); sale and leaseback structures; property and asset management agreements and shareholder disputes.
