Main practice areas
Insurance and tort law: NORDIA Law has for many years been entrusted to represent several of Sweden’s and Europe’s larger insurance companies. Per Sjödin and Johan Strömberg are generally considered to be among the top lawyers in the field. The firm today engages several partners and a number of associates within the area and puts great effort into continually developing the staff’s competence in order to, in the best possible way, meet clients’ needs, both in Sweden, the Nordic countries, and around the world.

Business-related criminal law: It is no exaggeration to say that Hans Strandberg is the absolute Nestor in this area. With his experience in the field, Hans holds an exceptional status both in Sweden and internationally and is regularly recommended by other colleagues in the business. With such a driving force in the firm, the scope has gradually grown, and today it has several successful team members committed to this field, of whom Olle Kullinger, Carl-Johan Allansson, and Andreas Natt och Dag can be mentioned in particular. The success can also be measured through the increasing rate at which its clients request proactive advice to take preventive measures.

Commercial contract law: Many of the firm’s partners and associates possess specialist knowledge in areas that, in one way or another, relate to commercial contracts. The firm in particular points to, for instance, Niklas Hemberg’s expertise on energy. Karl Ole Möller leads the sports and entertainment team, which represents almost all major sports agencies operating in Sweden. Obviously, the firm often assists in the drafting of contracts in conjunction with business transactions and thereby frequently assumes an active advisory role.

Dispute resolution: NORDIA Law has long and solid experience in this field, and litigation engages many of the partners and associates of the firm. The collective expertise in this area is hard to beat. Dispute resolution, per definition, involves and requires knowledge of other legal areas. Per Sjödin, Johan Strömberg and Olle Kullinger, to give three important names, are leading litigators.

Employment: The firm’s employment law team is small but very highly regarded. The team is working closely with the dispute resolution team and regularly represents clients from small to large companies within the various mandatory negotiations and trials that are a part of the Swedish labour market.

Construction: NORDIA Law represents some of the leading technical consulting firms and largest real estate development companies in Sweden. NORDIA Law’s construction team advises its clients from the early stages of the construction process up to, and including, legal disputes courts and arbitral tribunals. Partners Per Sjödin and Mikaela Kempe Bergner regularly act as advisors and litigators for technical consulting and engineering consulting firms.

Intellectual property: The firm’s IP team is considered on the cutting edge of IP advisers in Sweden. The practice includes dispute resolution and other means of protecting intellectual property, such as trademarks, designs, and know-how. Mårten Stenström is leading the team. He is a skilled and frequent litigator and adviser within the field of IP as well as other fields of business law.
