Specialises in dispute resolution, intellectual property (mainly patent, copyright and trademark law), marketing law and protection of trade secrets.

Karin Westerberg is a skilled litigator with extensive experience from litigations concerning intellectual property rights. Karin Westerberg frequently represents Swedish and international clients in all fields of technology (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and mechanical engineering) in patent infringement and revocation proceedings in Sweden (including pan-European litigations). Karin Westerberg is also a Unified Patent Court (UPC) representative with experience from infringement and revocation proceedings before the Nordic Baltic Regional Division of the UPC. Karin Westerberg also represents clients in the pharmaceutical industry with regulatory issues, as well as represents clients in complex copyright and trade secrets litigations involving multiple infringement investigations and interim proceedings.

In relation to copyright, Karin Westerberg has a particular interest in works of applied art and is the chairman of the Svensk Form Copyright Panel, which is an impartial expert body within the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, with the task to express an opinion on copyright protection for works of applied art and whether a copyright-protected work of applied art has been plagiarized.
