Position

Didar specialises in PPP projects across the energy, waste and outsourcing sectors advising procuring authorities, financial institutions and project sponsors. He has closed over 35 major projects and has extensive experience of collaborative procurements and alternative finance structures. Didar has advised on some of the most complex and high profile energy from waste projects to close to date including the Greater Manchester Waste PFI (£3.5bn), Project Green in South Wales (£1.1bn), Lincolnshire Waste Project (first to be finance wholly through prudential borrowing) and Peterborough Waste Project. Didar plays a leading role in the local government practice promoting the structured solutions offering, which targets the evolving space around investment in public sector assets. He has recently advised on the innovative second generation strategic partnering project for Lincolnshire Council; Swindon Council's property joint venture project; and ESCo structures for Brent Council, Sutton Council, Knowsley Council and Peterborough Council. Didar manages the Birmingham and Manchester projects teams and is responsible for maintaining key client relationships across the public and private sector, which includes Doosan Enpure, FCC Environmental, Birmingham City Council, Lincolnshire County Council and Coventry City Council.
