Merens Cahannes

Associate Merens primarily represents parties in commercial matters before state courts and arbitration tribunals. He also regularly provides advisory services in contract law and debt enforcement and bankruptcy law. He has several years of experience as a litigation attorney at an international law firm in Zurich and as a law clerk at the District Court of Zurich. Merens completed a banking apprenticeship and wrote a dissertation on financial market law at the University of Zurich.

Anne-Catherine Hahn

Partner Anne-Catherine assists companies and private clients in commercial disputes and helps them manage legal and compliance risks. She represents clients in international arbitration and state court proceedings and also regularly acts as an arbitrator. Building on many years of practice working with clients from different industries and backgrounds, Anne-Catherine routinely deals with matters concerning IT and technology, energy projects, the healthcare sector as well as the financial industry.

Dominic Hägler

Partner Dominic is an experienced litigator who regularly represents both companies and individuals before state courts. His primary areas of practice include commercial, contract and corporate disputes, with a particular focus on the financial industry. He is also specialised in directors' and officers' liability cases, enforcement and asset recovery proceedings, as well as white-collar crime matters. Additionally, Dominic represents clients before arbitration tribunals (ICC, Swiss Rules, ad hoc) and serves as an arbitrator.

Lukas Innerebner

Associate Lukas specializes in commercial dispute resolution with extensive experience in arbitration. As former Legal Counsel at the Swiss Arbitration Centre, he has overseen over 150 domestic and international arbitrations. Lukas has also advised companies, banks, and investors on M&A transactions and capital markets law, gaining profound expertise in these areas. Additionally, he has a keen interest in legal issues related to international commodity trading.

Christoph Mettler

Senior Associate Christoph is a specialist in business law, offering both advisory and litigation services with a particular focus on private banking law. Before joining Wartmann Merker, he earned a doctorate in civil procedure law and gained valuable experience as a law clerk at the District Court of Meilen and as a trainee lawyer at an international business law firm. In 2022, Christoph further enriched his expertise through a three-month secondment at a Swiss bank.

Giovanna Montanaro

Partner Giovanna has a long-standing and extensive experience in international trade, transport and insurance law. She advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters, representing them in complex proceedings before state courts and arbitration tribunals in national and cross-border disputes. Additionally, she provides guidance on drafting and negotiating contracts in the areas of commercial, transport and insurance law, including maritime and aviation law.

Valerio Preisig

Senior Associate Valerio specializes in handling complex domestic and international proceedings before state courts and arbitral tribunals. He advises and represents companies and private individuals in commercial, employment, and corporate disputes, providing support from pre-litigation counseling through to the enforcement of claims. His experience includes working as a litigation attorney at a major Swiss law firm and as a court clerk at the District Court of Horgen.

Peter Reichart

Partner With over 25 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, Peter is recognised as one of Switzerland's leading litigators. His expertise spans banking, labour, and construction law, and he frequently represents clients in liability and responsibility cases, including directors and officers of corporations and law firms. Additionally, he is regularly appointed as an arbitrator.

Andrea Roth

Partner Andrea represents clients in commercial disputes before arbitral tribunals (ICC, Swiss Rules, DIS, CAS, LCIA, VIAC, ad hoc) and Swiss courts. Her main areas of focus include commercial matters, banking law, contract disputes and post-M&A litigation. Andrea also serves as an arbitrator in both international and domestic arbitration proceedings. Another focus of her work is to advise and represent clients in the area of international legal assistance in civil and criminal matters, as well as in enforcement and recognition proceedings.

Reto Strittmatter

Partner With over 20 years of experience, Reto is deeply passionate about commercial and corporate law, as well as litigation in these areas. He advises Swiss SMEs and foreign corporations on transactions, restructuring and contract drafting. As a litigator, Reto handles commercial, corporate, finance and labour law cases before state courts. He also brings extensive experience serving on boards of directors and foundations and is a member of the Bar Examination Commission for the Canton of Zurich.
