The firm: Having been established in Ankara by our founder Mehmet Ali Köksal, in September 2005, Köksal & Partners moved its headquarters to Istanbul in September 2011 and commenced operations in Istanbul. In September 2015, the firm was registered to the Istanbul Bar Association, under the name Köksal-Özdamar Attorney Partnership. Köksal & Partners follows and uses the latest technology in offering services to its clients, adhering to the Attorneys’ Law and Attorneys’ Code of Professional Conduct. All files in our office are stored electronically, and all members of our legal team are able to work in a mobile and location-independent manner, every day of the week and at any time of the day. Our corporate clients for our consulting services are able to track the progress of their respective cases and businesses electronically. We offer our clients legal consulting services, litigation services, registration services for trademarks, patents and other intellectual property, personal data protection law, IT law and security training services, as well as online reputation management services, including the removal of online content. Data protection compliance projects are offered through our affiliate company, KP Data Consulting. As of today, Köksal-Özdamar Attorney Partnership houses a team of 25 lawyers and 13 legal interns, each one of them specializing in one of the legal services provided by our firm. We are constantly and rapidly growing in size and evolving to cope with the challenges of our era together with our Ankara office.
Types of work undertaken: Our strength fields of practice are information technology law, intellectual property law, press and media law, personal data protection law, employment law, commercial law, corporate law, telecommunications law and construction law. Administrative law and criminal law are also within our field of professional expertise. Our founding and managing partner Mehmet Ali Köksal is one of the most renowned information technology lawyers in Turkey. In addition to this, thanks to his 25 years in the legal profession, he has vast knowledge and experience on all sorts of legal matters, especially in press and media law. Sezin Burcu Özdamar, one of our firm’s senior partners, is a recognized lawyer in the fields of commercial, corporate law and M&A. Mehmet Ali Köksal is the senior partner responsible for our litigation department who is also a Trademark lawyer specialized on obtaining Radio and Television broadcasting permits and licenses. Yavuz Selim Dicle is also our partner who is responsible for the personal data protection department and executing many projects for our corporate clients.
