Kudun and Partners strengthens international practice with new partner hire
Thailand’s Kudun and Partners has recently strengthened its international practice with the appointment of Troy Schooneman as partner and head of its international practice group.
With a career spanning more than 25 years in Asia, Troy has extensive experience in advising a broad spectrum of Thai and international public and private corporations, private equity funds, financial institutions, and government agencies, on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, project and corporate financings, real estate developments and general corporate matters. Troy has been recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” in Banking and Finance, Projects and Energy (The Legal 500, 2009- 2014), is “respected for his expertise in corporate matters” (IFLR100, 2014) and “praised for his in-depth knowledge and experience of pan-Asian markets” (The Legal 500, 2012).
Troy was previously a partner of Weerawong, Chinnavat & Partners (formerly White & Case Thailand) where he worked for 16 years, primarily focusing on the investment activities of Australian, European and US corporations in the Asia-Pacific region as well as on outbound transactions for Thai clients.
With this appointment, Kudun and Partners, which was established in 2015, now boasts 9 partners and 35 associates, making it Thailand’s fastest growing law firm.
