Diversity
At OW Group, we believe that only by acting in accordance with our values we can fully enjoy our success. Among these values, what has united us most over many years is our love for animals and respect for nature. Every day we work pro bono to protect animals – we fight for their rights, we conduct proceedings in cases of animal abuse, and we seek out new homes for those who have been abandoned. In fact, many of our employees have adopted dogs and cats into their homes. Our lawyers also help the Ekostraż Foundation, regularly advising them, and this has led to many successes in court proceedings regarding animal abuse. In addition, we train volunteers and support social animal protection inspectors, who we teach how to act when collecting neglected animals. As part of our ongoing mission to help, we respond to police questions concerning the regulations which should be applied during interventions.
We prioritize equality and non-discrimination. Over 75% of our workforce are women, with nearly 70% in management roles. We support parents by aiding mothers returning to work, respecting paternity leave, and providing knowledge bases and chats for parents.
We celebrate Diversity Month, educating our team on DEI topics such as neurodiversity, inclusive language, and intergenerational differences through articles and webinars. Over the past year, we organized several well-being webinars.
We appointed a Culture & Talent Leader to oversee DEI policies and organizational development. Since then, our employees have had access to the "Multilife" well-being platform, offering psychological support and mental health training.
Our five offices in Poland are accessible to people with disabilities. We have an advanced onboarding program, including an online "Essentials" guide for new employees, which is accessible to those with limitations (e.g., text enlargement, text-to-speech reader).
We maintain transparency with government policies and a whistleblower system for reporting irregularities, available to employees and contractors. Our clearly defined values include respect, relationships and empathy, trust, and honesty in communication. These are documented in our Culture Book, which outlines acceptable and unacceptable behaviors.
We care about our team's health and well-being, offering flexible hours and hybrid work models. We consciously develop our team's skills, providing best practice sets for leaders and managers to build inclusive teams. Training covers topics such as supporting colleagues in mental health crises, giving feedback, and team management.
We support the concept of an economy of values. As part of this, we create and cultivate relationships by actively participating in the Open Eyes Economy Summit movement.
