About

KaiserDillon PLLC is a litigation boutique based in Washington, DC which represents individuals and small businesses in government investigations, complex commercial litigation, and in the defense of criminal cases. The firm provides skilled and ethical advocacy on behalf of people facing crises that threaten their reputation, livelihood, or liberty; it has been active in high-profile matters such as: the impeachment proceedings against President Trump, where the firm represented the then-acting Chief of Staff to the President of the United States; a number of separate investigations into government conduct during the time of the Trump administration; a voting rights case in Georgia that sprang from the 2018 midterm elections, representation of a woman who accused now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation proceedings; representation of high profile clients who are inaccurately portrayed in the media; and numerous law enforcement investigations of political appointees. The partnership includes former Assistant Federal Public Defenders, a former Assistant United States Attorney, and the former Acting General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel for the US House of Representatives.

White-collar defense: KaiserDillon represents clients in criminal matters in federal and state courts around the country on charges such as bribery of foreign officials, improper diversion of funds, government contracting fraud, inappropriate use of the internet, money laundering, obstruction of justice, and securities fraud. The firm has a strong track record of trial work, victories on pretrial motions, successful sentencing advocacy, and negotiations to resolve cases short of a trial.

Congressional investigations: Understanding the Congressional investigation process from their previous work within government,  KaiserDillon guides clients through communicating with the investigating committee; evaluating how to respond; providing documents or testimony, as appropriate; preparing to testify, as appropriate; litigating if necessary; and managing the legal, political, and other implications of the investigation and subsequent findings.

Campus disciplinary defense:  KaiserDillon attorneys represent students at universities across the country accused of violating Title IX; they have written on Title IX in national publications, taught other lawyers how to defend these cases, and given presentations to Title IX coordinators about how to set up fair processes at their schools.

Legal ethics and malpractice: KaiserDillon attorneys understand the specialized and evolving laws and regulations that govern the professional responsibility obligations of lawyers. They advise lawyers on how to comply when they are departing law firms, forming new law firms, or where law firms are dissolving. They also represent clients in malpractice claims against their prior lawyers.

Civil litigation: KaiserDillon attorneys have a wide range of civil litigation experience: helping start-ups challenged by big brand competitors and small businesses embroiled in contractual disputes; and representing directors, officers, employees and companies, big and small, in litigation threatening or vindicating their reputations and their finances.
