I was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Innter Temple in year 2014 and have since completed the pupillage. I have specialised in immigration law having worked as an immigration consultant for many years before becoming a barrister. I feel I can serve my clients well through the knowledge and experience I have gained in this area. I also have limited experience in family and criminal law.

Represented clients in immigration, family and criminal matters; Provided advice on immigration matters including in-country and overseas cases, and asylum, deportation and immigration appeals; Drafted various types of legal documents on behalf of clients; and Represented clients as a public access barrister in various matters.

Managed and developed a substantial caseload of private clients; Provided advice on all kinds of business and personal immigration matters including in-country and overseas cases, and asylum, deportation and immigration appeals; Dealt with British nationality applications especially complex registration applications; Attended the Court of Appeal and the High Court in various cases as a member of legal team (The cases include landmark cases: Limbu & Ors v SSHD, Gurung & Ors v SSHD and Pun & Ors v SSHD); Provided advice on family matters including divorce proceedings; and Prepared cases for different Courts including the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Upper Tribunal (IAC) and First-tier Tribunal (IAC).

Provided legal advice to US$ 140 million multination hydropower project (Consortium of Stratcraft Anlegg Norway & Himal Hydro, Nepal); Dealt with contractual matters, claims (including Force Majeure claims), labour disputes, company- public disputes; Ensured that the consortium complied with regulatory frameworks and developed policies to comply with them; Involved with an NGO working to rehabilitate victims of torture and trauma; Advocated for prevention of human right violations and abuses; Developed community mediation programmes and campaigned against human right violations and abuses; Drafted summaries of cases on torture victims and survivors; Provided advice in both civil and criminal matters and represented them in proceeding before Courts and Quasi-judicial bodies.
