As a firm, we have realised that being a diverse and inclusive workplace enables us to offer our clients a variety of mindsets when approaching complex legal issues. The firm’s inclusive nature is evident in its recruitment, promotion, and client engagement decisions and applies to gender, race, tribe, religion, socio-economic background, and political affiliation. AC&H’s gender parity ratio is currently at 33% female staff and 67% male staff, cutting across various nationalities.
In supporting holistic growth for employees, the firm has introduced the ‘He Matters’ and ’She Matters’ programmes as an employee engagement initiative that involves a series of talks for supporting female and male employees in navigating the unique challenges they face in the workplace.
Pro Bono
AC&H provides pro bono legal services focusing on charitable, religious, civic, community, non-profit and educational matters affecting institutions with limited resources. Our pro bono efforts are strategic, targeted and collaborative, allowing our lawyers to be part of a positive social change as they assist causes that provide the maximum benefit to society. Our Pro Bono policy encourages our professional staff to each spend at least 25 hours a year providing pro bono services.
We believe knowledge through education is key to developing the rule of law in Africa and globally. Through the ALN Academy, we are commitment to drive and increase the flow of legal knowledge and the rule of law circulating within the continent and enhancing the rule of law and the establishment of best practice across the continent of Africa.
