Career
Ziad has been practicing law in the UAE for over 10 years. Ziad graduated from Staffordshire University in the UK after obtaining a double major in Law and Business, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Law and his Legal Practice Course qualification. After graduation Ziad returned to his native Lebanon where he spent a year working as a Corporate & Commercial Advisor for Gulf based companies before moving to the UAE.
Ziad worked for two of the UAE’s leading firms, Samir Salloum Advocates and The Rights Lawyers, where he gained extensive knowledge and exposure to corporate structuring and incorporation both onshore and within the UAE’s free zones, banking and finance, real estate law, IT and telecommunications, corporate disputes and employment matters. He has been involved in counselling some of the UAE’s and the Gulf’s leading IT companies and banks. Ziad currently leads the practice’s litigation department and is involved in counselling and advising clients on local Civil Claims and dispute resolution work in addition to managing negotiations on behalf of clients in dispute settlements.
Ziad has on many occasions presented seminars on topical corporate issues and developments affecting business and investment in the UAE. He has been invited to lecture at Universities in the United Arab Emirates on topics concerning local Employment Law and Corporate/Company Law. He has also written articles pertaining to corporate & commercial transactions for publications throughout the Middle East and Asia.
