Career

Fernanda Garibay, a prominent lawyer specialized in administrative and environmental law, as well as administrative litigation. She is a senior associate at Lammoglia Abogados S.C., where she coordinates the areas of administrative litigation, public policy, environmental law, sustainable development and administrative law.

With an outstanding professional career of more than 11 years, where she has advised several organizations in the implementation of sustainable policies and regulatory compliance, demonstrating knowledge of environmental and administrative laws, developing solutions that integrate sustainability with business objectives. She is an expert in managing environmental and administrative litigation.

She has advised several companies and projects in environmental, energy, real estate and regulatory matters, managing licenses and permits before authorities such as COFEPRIS, IMPI, SEMARNAT, ASEA, SEDUVI and SEDEMA, among others. Her experience includes advising on environmental impact management, waste management, remediation of contaminated sites, and compliance audits.

Fernanda has actively participated in significant litigation, such as the complaint and subsequent litigation against PROFEPA for the implementation of the project “Ammonia Plant 220 TMPD” located in Topolobampo in the municipality of Ahome in Sinaloa, Mexico, in order to stop the environmental impacts on the lake area and wetlands.

She has participated in advising important energy and real estate projects and has performed due diligence for companies throughout the country. She has also led the design and implementation of several document audits to verify the applicability of the Equator Principles and international standards, ensuring regulatory compliance and enabling the financing of such projects.

Fernanda has contributed to the drafting of federal and local laws in states such as Campeche, Yucatan, and San Luis Potosi, and has supported the development of public policies for state and Mexico City governments.

In the academic field, she has contributed with publications on alternative energy and indigenous rights, and has participated in various forums and conferences relevant to sustainability and circular economy.
