With over 28 years of experience advising companies and handling litigation on behalf of companies from various sectors of the economy, such as insurance entities, pension fund administrators, health promotion entities, health service providers, ambulance and prepaid medicine companies, cement companies, transportation companies, trust entities, real estate sector companies, food companies, and public entities such as the Government of Antioquia.

The areas of professional activity mainly involve advisory services in contract, fiduciary, real estate, insurance, and health matters, as well as litigation in matters of civil liability, insurance, contractual and non-contractual liability, state patrimony, insurance law, fiduciary matters, real estate and urban law, corporate law, and health law.

He has also served as the general secretary of some companies.

In litigation and/or arbitration, he has acted and continues to act as legal representative for plaintiffs or defendants, both public and private entities, handling cases in various areas, including nullity actions, direct reparation actions, contractual and non-contractual civil liability claims, insurance, real estate law, fiduciary business, health sector, among others, popular actions, group actions, consumer actions, among others.

He has published writings on civil liability of individuals, state patrimony, and insurance in journals of the Colombian Institute of Civil Liability and the State, and in the book "Civil Liability, Insurance Law, and Philosophy of Law - Studies in honor of Javier Tamayo Jaramillo." He has also been a professor of insurance law at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana at the undergraduate level and has been a professor of Civil Liability and/or Insurance topics at postgraduate level at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Uiversidad Autónoma Latinoamericana in Medellin, Universidad San Buenaventura in Cali in convention with Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana  in Medellin, Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Universidad EAFIT in Medellin, among others.

He has also taught courses on fiduciary business in the real estate sector in the specializations in Urban Law at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and Eafit.
