Marco Muscettola leads the Energy and Banking & Finance department of LEXIA Avvocati. He regularly advises banks and companies with a specific focus on infrastructure projects (such as, roads, transport, energy), acquisition finance, corporate finance operations and real estate finance and in the corporate sector assisting clients in relation to extraordinary transactions such as acquisitions and divestments of companies and shareholdings, as well as mergers, demergers, reorganizations and internationalization processes.
Starting from 2014 (Mag By Legal Community 2014) Marco has been considered a leading professional in the energy sector and, in the course of the following years, has been awarded several prizes by the leading legal directories: Finalist at Energy Legal Awards Italy 2020 – Legal Community; Finalist at Energy Legal Awards Italy 2021 – Legal Community; Finalist at Finance Awards Italy 2021 – Legal Community; Ranked at Italian Energy Sector – Top Legal Awards 2020) as well as with reference to specific transactions that he has closed (European Energy Renewable Deal of the Year 2011, European Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2011, European Energy Renewable Deal of the Year 2014).
He authored several articles in the field of energy and finance and is a speaker in seminars and conferences on energy/finance matters.

Career
Marco practiced as associate for Chiomenti Law Firm (Rome- Milan) for nine years, as senior associate for Bird and Bird (Milan) for over two years in the finance and corporate department specialising in banking, finance and energy transactions. Prior to join LEXIA Avvocati in 2020, he was Partner at PLC law Firm.

Education
Marco graduated at University of Perugia in 2000. He was admitted to the Bar in 2004 and he is qualified as a lawyer at the Supreme Court. He is lecturer in Civil and Corporate Law at the University “Gabriele d’Annunzio” of Pescara (Faculty of Economics – Civil Law Department).
