In 2021, Radovanović Stojanović & Partners, as lead counsel, advised AIK Banka a.d., Gorenjska Banka d.d. and Agri Europe Cyprus Limited on the acquisition of Sberbank Europe AG’s subsidiary banks in Serbia (Sberbank Srbija a.d. Beograd), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sberbank BH d.d. Sarajevo and Sberbank a.d. Banja Luka), Croatia (Sberbank d.d.), Hungary (Sberbank Magyarország Zrt.) and Slovenia (Sberbank banka d.d.), with total assets of EUR 7.329 bn, 162 branches and approximately 600,000 clients (as of YE 2020). The firm also advised on the regulatory and merger control aspects of the Project. This included the preparation of six regulatory filings to central banks and seven merger filings to national competition authorities – Radovanović Stojanović & Partners coordinated all the filings and acted as a single point of contact for the clients.
