Emmanouil completed his postgraduate studies in Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, from which he also obtained his LL.M. in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.
He then continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Cologne in the field of International Criminal Law and Criminology.
He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Criminal Law at the University of Athens. For his doctoral studies he was granted a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY).
