Founded in 2014, Altum Law Corporation is a boutique-sized firm that practises corporate law exclusively, with a focus on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), regulatory compliance and governance matters, private equity, private client and finance and FinTech.

Altum Law Corporation is recognised in Singapore as a firm that punches above its weight, due to the deep experience and expertise its principal lawyers have, especially in the areas of equity capital markets and regulatory compliance and governance.

The firm has 4 Directors who are all senior practitioners who have been in legal practice for at least 20 years each.

Our practice areas include:

    1. Capital Markets: The firm is well-versed in the legal and regulatory requirements for listings on the Mainboard and Catalist Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST). The firm also advises on delisting and privatisation exercises.
    2. Mergers & Acquisition (M&A): The firm is active in both private and public mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The team at Altum Law Corporation acts for both buyers and sellers in acquisitions and disposals of shares or asset/business transfers. The firm also advises on reverse takeovers (RTOs) and very substantial acquisitions.
    3. Private Equity: The firm advises fund managers and family offices in setting up funds, advising on structuring, securities offering, licensing and tax aspects. The firm has established and advised on fund structures including the venture capital company (VCC) for single and multi-family offices, and funds.
    4. Private Client: The firm’s private client practice has developed as the team progressed from being a trusted advisor to its corporate clients, to advising on succession and legacy planning needs of some of the founders or key executives of these corporates.
    5. Regulatory Compliance and Governance Matters: The firm offers comprehensive advice to listed issuers on continuing listing obligations, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
    6. Finance and FinTech: As an independent Singapore law firm, the firm is often asked to provide legal opinions relating to credit facilities or financing by international banks, where there is a Singapore corporate or individual borrower or security giver in the financing or security transactions. The firm provides legal opinions or advice in relation to cryptocurrencies, digital payment tokens, securities or other token offerings, as well as licensing requirements or considerations under the Payment Services Act 2019.
