ALC Lawyers & Counsels was founded pursuant to the high demand for skilled and more trustworthy law practitioners in Oman that are able to provide not only legal advice, but appropriate and integrate legal solutions to complex issues. Our Founder, Abdulredha Al Lawati, was a partner in a regional law firm practicing in Oman. He was running the relationships with the clients and management of the previous law firm along with his partners from 2017 to March 2021. After that, Abdulredha decided to exit the partnership and set up ALC and within one year, the firm was hugely expanded by dealing with reputable clients inside and outside Oman.

ALC is equipped to provide legal support and counsel to regional and international companies that requires support in Oman. Further, ALC works closely with several international and regional law firms in the Middle East region, maintaining strong associations with several law firms operating in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh, Jeddah, Manama, Kuwait, Cairo, and Beirut. In addition to the Middle East region, ALC retains close ties with many international law firms in several jurisdictions, such as the UK, US, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, India, Pakistan, China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and Australia. As a result, we are proud to have a widespread clientele base.
ALC retains a long-term vision, where it looks forward to building a great law practice in Oman. Such vision may not be achieved without clear and straightforward and transparent support that ALC should provide. Further, ALC plans to lead the practice in the best standards in the coming few years by hosting the best and most experienced practitioners. This also covers expanding out of the region and serve the clients’ needs out of the boundaries. As a part of ALC’s vision, it is a mandatory commitment in the firm to serve the needs of any Social Corporate Responsibility in Oman including the support of Omanization. Obviously, this achievement will keep the firm in compliance with Oman’s vision in 2040.
LOCATION
Our office is in the heart of Muscat, but we are fully equipped and resourced to provide legal support throughout Oman, including the free zones. ALC comprises a dynamic team of local qualified members, most of whom are bilingual, in order to provide the highest level of legal assistance in a wide range of areas.

Disputes Resolution
Local litigation
ALC’s Litigation Team advises on a wide variety of topics ranging from civil, commercial, construction, banking, administrative, intellectual properties, maritime, and criminal issues. Our Litigation Team is well qualified to appear before all levels of the Courts in Oman, including the Primary Courts, Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court. The team has extensive experience in understanding facts pertaining to all kinds of disputes, including their initial assessment based on an in-depth understanding of all applicable laws, regulations, and court precedents
Our bilingual team enables us to provide customized legal solutions to our clients and to handle the entire litigation cycle, from evaluation of the strength of a potential case to representation of the client before the Omani Courts. Our Litigation Team is experienced in advising and handling disputes of various natures, from commercial and contractual disputes to disputes pertaining to partnerships, debt collection, licensing, taxes, joint ventures, or commercial agencies. In addition, ALC is capable of handling real estate disputes covering all disputes relating to property development, sale of property, mortgages or tenancy agreements.
ALC’s Dispute Resolution Team focuses on construction disputes that require specialized knowledge and in-depth industry experience. Our team also advises on disputes relating to construction and engineering standard contracts, breach of obligations, liabilities of contractors and engineers, and/or relationships with subcontractors.
ALC’s team holds valuable litigation experience before the Administrative Courts in Oman. We advise on the elimination of decisions and nullification of public orders. Furthermore, ALC’s team advises on other sorts of administrative disputes between clients and any administrative body, such as licensing issues, permits, contractual liabilities, and breach of obligations between the client and the administrative body in question.
Arbitration

ALC’s arbitration practice comprises lawyers specialized in the domestic and international arbitration of complex public and private law disputes. Their experience covers acting as arbitrators as well as leading counsel before arbitration panels.
ALC adopts a practical and experienced approach to resolving disputes by providing a range of alternative dispute resolution methods to reach settlements for clients that are in their best interests. It is our belief that the root cause of any dispute is primarily the failure to fulfill contractual obligations. Hence, in handling any dispute, our approach preliminarily considers and carefully evaluates the contractual obligations of both parties and thereafter adopts the most practical and best suited method of dispute resolution. If the most suited method is litigation, then our team guides and assists clients throughout the entire process of prosecuting and defending their claim.
Our team holds experience in carrying out all procedures of the arbitration process, up to and including the enforcement of arbitral awards. ALC’s Arbitration Team assists clients with assessing their claims, dealing with external experts and appointed arbitrators on the panel, collaborating with the panel, preparing required notices and submissions, counseling throughout the entire process, and/or enforcing the entire process before the Courts. Our Arbitration Team also works closely with litigation lawyers pertaining to the enforcement of an arbitral award.
