Roewayda has worked in Oman over the past 15 years in private practice and in-house. The most significant role was Senior Associate Counsel for a large state-owned group of companies and its investment projects. Most recently, her expertise in the corporate and employment aspects of the business included advising on employment matters in the context of the reorganisation/integration of the group’s business.  In her work, Roewayda has demonstrated success in counselling and advising management and human resources on all employment law issues. This work included on-boarding matters, performance management, disciplinary issues, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, redundancy, termination of employment, and various employee claims.

In Oman, Roewayda is adept at collaborating with counsel who appear before the Omani relevant authorities and courts to resolve employment-related issues, such as mediation, litigation, and negotiation. In South Africa, Roewayda has proven expertise serving as an arbitrator in employment disputes, representing clients at employment tribunals, negotiating settlements including drafting settlement agreements, while supporting clients with other legal duties.

Roewayda’s legal advice is based on detailed analysis and research of the statutory/regulatory issues and complex legal issues relevant to the client’s issue. Roewayda is an articulate communicator equipped with exceptional analytical, problem-solving skills. She has meticulous attention-to-detail.
