Zainab Al Lawati is a bilingual Omani lawyer qualified by the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs. She has practiced law since 2017 after graduating from Sultan Qaboos University. Following her graduation, Zainab was trained by the Public Prosecution and Ministry of Public Services (Ministry of Labor). After this, she joined a local firm where she focused on commercial and civil litigation in Oman.

Her primary responsibility consisted of dealing with individuals and companies who had appointed the firm in representing them in local disputes before the Omani Courts. She was responsible for case preparations, drafting memos, and handling the major commencements in the disputes such as, but not limited to, meeting with clients, drafting memos, attending hearings, and updating clients on their cases. Zainab has previously defended major airlines companies during which time she advised on commercial and labor claims. She was further appointed by leading insurance companies on many occasions to handle their motor, health, and medical claims.

Zainab’s experience covers civil, labor, commercial, criminal, and human rights matters. Further, Zainab holds experience in the field of arbitration as she was appointed previously to act as a legal clerk during Arabic and English arbitrations to record deliberations to arbitrators.
