Diversity

The firm's practice and internal organization are consistent with modern standards of parity and diversity.

NYA & Co. is enriched by its diversity, in particular through a team of people from different backgrounds. All its staff and counsels are members of several professional and international legal associations, namely the African Business Lawyers’ Club, the Circle of Lawyers for Business Ethics, Cameroon Business Lawyers’ Association, and many others.

Skills are valued in accordance with a strict principle of equality between each human resource, without distinction or consideration related to skin colour, gender, origin or individual beliefs, the objective being to ensure equality of rights, treatment, and even opportunities between employees.

The firm promotes and encourages cultural and racial diversity and rejects prejudice based on gender, sexual orientation or age, as well as on the skills of people with disabilities. It recognizes the benefits of welcoming resources from all walks of life and acknowledges the talents of people with disabilities, for whom it makes greater logistical accommodations. Applications from these individuals are therefore strongly encouraged.

The Firm is also diverse in terms of its clients. NYA & Co. aims to be accessible to all, regardless of their size, the nature of their sectors of activity and the scope of their needs. SMEs are as well welcome as big institutions.

The Firm accompanies a wide range of diverse clients, including a certain proportion of pro bono cases (about four to five per year) in order to encourage the local economy.

To date, we have two to three pro bono clients, among them the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and 2 young entrepreneurs.

The diversity within the firm is also perceptible through the variety of the affiliation bars of the collaborators, with a representation of several African (Cameroon, Rwanda) and European (Paris-France, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) bars among our profiles.

The current state of gender diversity in our law firm is as follows:
Women: Eight (08)
Men: Four (04).
