Juan Miguel Álvarez is a founding partner of Roldán Uribe & Álvarez Abogados. He has over 10 years of professional experience in dispute resolution before national and international arbitration tribunals, as well as before administrative, civil, and constitutional courts.

Throughout his professional career, he has participated in numerous litigations and arbitrations in the area of state and private contracting, related to disputes across various sectors of the economy.

He is a lawyer from Universidad Externado de Colombia and currently serves as a professor of International Economic Law, International Commercial and Investment Arbitration, and International Contracting at the same university.

He holds an LL.M. in International Economic Law, Business, and Policy from Stanford University, California, and an LL.M. in European and International Business from the University of Vienna, Austria.

Additionally, he is a member of the Secretary List of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.

He is the author of numerous books and publications on national, international, and investment arbitration, and is also an active speaker on various topics related to these fields. Some of his most notable publications include:
