Claire Backler is a Partner within mfg Solicitors Family Division based at our head office in Kidderminster. She is also Head of the Family Law Division covering all of mfg’s offices, and has over 30 years experience within family law and mfg itself!

At such a crucial time in people’s lives Claire recognises the essential need for sensitivity and combines her technical ability with approachability. She prides herself on making the client feel confident and takes a common sense approach to try and achieve negotiated settlements where possible in order to avoid costly Court battles.

Specialising in matrimonial financial issues but with considerable family law experience, Claire is able to provide specialist advice to a broad spectrum of clients covering issues such as substantial wealth, partnerships and family businesses, trusts and inherited wealth, hidden resources and lifestyle issues, and overseas assets. She also has experience in acting for niche professional groups including dentists, doctors, farmers and landowners.

She has been a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel since its inception.

Claire is based at the firm’s Kidderminster office but also covers Ludlow and the surrounding areas.

Claire is also recognised in Chambers UK (Band 1) “Well Respected” Practitioner Claire Backler leads the Family department, specialising in complex financial matters after separation, often involving family businesses, inherited wealth and overseas assets.
