Position

Partner Chris Piggott joined the firm in 2015 and is part of the firm’s dedicated Employment Law and HR Services team.

Chris is recognised in the leading legal directories of Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 as an employment law specialist.  Chris qualified as a solicitor in 1995.   

Chris is a trusted adviser to a number of UK plc’s and UK subsidiaries of European and US Fortune 500 companies, together with general commercial clients and senior executives on matters of employment law.  He has represented the CBI’s interests in Europe on employment issues and is a regular trainer and speaker to UK businesses on employment law and HR business practices.

Chris advises clients on all aspects of employment law to include TUPE, staff re-organisations, injunctive relief and enforcement of restrictive covenants, predominantly in the recruitment, food manufacturing, automotive and Further Education sectors.

Chris regularly presents to businesses and clients on topical employment issues.  Described as a solicitor who can explain common sense solutions to complex legal issues.  Chris has a track record of successful training and development to businesses.

Chris is a Foundation Board member for a Multi-Academy Company (MAC) comprising a senior school (ranked Outstanding) and 5 primary schools (ranked from Good to Outstanding). 

Chris is an active member of the Institute of Directors and a speaker on HR issues to their membership.

He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
