Sam’s practice is mainly focused on corporate and commercial matters and transactional work. He has extensive legal experience in handling cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and private equity transactions and he also regularly advises on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, fintech regulations, employment law, data protection and privacy law.

Sam has represented listed companies, multinational corporations, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, tech giants and private equity funds across different industry sectors in numerous sizable transactions.

Sam is shortlisted as a Finalist for “Fintech Lawyer of the Year” at the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2024; and one of the cases advised by him has been awarded the “LegalOne Merits (Exemplary) 2024” and is recognised in the “LegalOne Deals of the Year (China) 2023”.

Prior to joining this law firm, Sam worked in other leading award-winning law firms in Hong Kong.
