Diversity

At Mullis & Peake LLP Solicitors we are committed to a policy of treating all our employees, workers and job applicants equally. No employee or potential employee will receive less favourable treatment because of any “protected characteristic”, namely, but not limited to:

  • age (or perceived age)
  • disability (past or present)
  • gender reassignment
  • marriage or civil partnership status
  • maternity or pregnancy related issues
  • race, colour, nationality or ethnic or national origins
  • religion or belief
  • sex
  • sexual orientation
  • trade union membership (or non-membership)
  • part-time or fixed term status

We are particularly concerned that equality and diversity is maintained in the following areas:

  • in the workplace
  • when providing services to clients
  • in our dealings with third parties, e.g. barristers, experts and suppliers

We aim to encourage, value and manage diversity and are committed to equality for our entire staff.  We wish to attain a workforce that is representative of the communities from which it is drawn.

These principles of equality and diversity also apply to the manner in which we treat clients, our business partners and visitors.

Commitment to the Community

Mullis & Peake LLP are proud to have been part of the community in Havering for over 100 years.

Since we launched our Shenfield office in December 2015 and the Upminster office in 2023; so we have also been very active in the Shenfield, Brentwood, Upminster and Essex community as well.

We are delighted to support local  Romford attraction, The Havering Museum. The Museum provides a home for exhibits of Havering's past. It defines what makes Havering: Havering, celebrating the achievements of local people, past and present. Our sponsorship this year went towards the Museum’s Reminiscence Group.
The Reminiscence Group is a fantastic cause that supports elderly men and women, giving them the opportunity to meet with likeminded people in the area. The group meets once a week to discuss topics from their younger years.

We also sponsor the Romford Raiders, our local ice hockey team and Upminster Cricket Club.

We take part in many local networking groups and run free events and seminars for the local community. We also support Romford BID and Brentwood Connected and Brentwood Borough Council in community engagement projects like their summer fun days.
