Career

Nick completed his training contract with Osbornes, qualifying as a Medical Negligence Solicitor.

Nick has experience in a wide range of medical negligence claims including:

Surgical error; Delayed diagnosis of cancer; Orthopaedic claims/nerve injury; Birth Injury Claims; Obstetrics and gynaecology; Stillbirth Claims; Accident and Emergency.

Nick also regularly acts for families at inquests and is able to advise on all aspects of fatal cases. Many of Nick’s cases are complex medical negligence cases which require evidence from multiple medical and clinical experts from a range of disciplines.

Nick prides himself on the high level of client care he provides. He is able to deal with often extremely sensitive and distressing matters with professionalism and strives to ensure that the legal process is made as stress free as possible for his clients. Nick has experience of dealing with medical negligence cases from the pre-action/investigation stage and through litigation, all the way to trial. Nick also regularly represents his clients at Joint Settlement Meetings, interim court hearings and mediations.

Nick regularly attends conferences with AvMA and APIL and has written publications for both of these organisations. In 2020 Nick contributed to the most recent APIL Personal Injury Law, Practice and Precedents Looseleaf publication. Nick has also written articles for LexisNexis and The Law Society Gazette.

In the 2020 edition of the Legal 500, Nick was named as “the name to note for successfully settling misdiagnosis and A&E cases”.

Education

Nick graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first class degree in politics in 2012 before completing the GDL and LPC with distinction at the University of Law in London.

In his spare time Nick enjoys long distance and trail running, reading and travelling.
