Beale & Company (Middle East) is the first truly specialist construction law practice to set up in the UAE. Unlike many other firms which undertake construction legal services in the UAE, Beale & Company (Middle East) advise exclusively on construction and engineering matters. Areas of practice
International arbitration and construction disputes: the firm is well known in the industry for acting on behalf of claimants and defendants in high-value and often complex construction disputes in international arbitrations (including related ancillary proceedings), both institutional and ad hoc, including under the DIAC, ADCCAC, ICC, LCIA, AAA, SIAC, CRCICA, UNCITRAL and ICSID rules, expert determinations, mediations and international litigation. They are regularly instructed by contractors and developers on a wide range of construction-related disputes, particularly those involving delay, extensions of time, loss and / or expense (including prolongation and disruption costs), variations, suspension and termination, defective design and payment.

Construction and projects: the firm advises on all non-contentious aspects of construction, power and infrastructure projects including contract formation on both standard forms and bespoke contracts; tendering and procurement routes; challenges of procurement awards; joint venture agreements and purchase agreements. They assist clients on transactions procured in a variety of methods, including traditional, PPP, and increasingly using innovative methods such as partnering and alliancing. They also advise on project/contractual issues during project delivery, including variations, interim payment and final account applications.
