Employment: Partner, Anna Illingworth heads up Rowberry Morris Thames Valley LLP’s employment practice

Recent instructions and cases include:

  • The ground-breaking case of Jolly –v- Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in which Anna acted for the successful, oldest ever Claimant, in her claim for unfair dismissal, age discrimination and disability discrimination;
  • Whistle blowing investigations for financial services client; and B2B logistics client;
  • Updating of employment contracts, service agreements and company policies and
  • Provision of training for GDPR, Equality and Diversity and Stress in the Workplace.

The team has niche expertise in advising employers and employees in connection with whistle blowing, in particular recent experience acting for both in the financial services and logistics sectors in claims and investigations.

Dispute resolution: The dispute resolution department comprises three solicitors, a support team of four and two trainee solicitors.

Partner and head of department, Anna Illingworth with over 20 years’ experience, has a niche practice comprising employment law and contentious trusts and probate. Anna is ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) registered.

Anna is joined by fellow partner Liam Connolly who is a civil and commercial litigator who specialises in property disputes and banking disputes.

Private client: Partner Helen Greenwood heads up the firm’s non-contentious private client practice, which offers private client services from all three offices. The team consists of six lawyers, two of whom are full members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

The team has expertise in advising clients in connection with wills, powers of attorney and court of protection applications. They also act for clients in the administration of estates (including complex estates and those including foreign assets), on estate, inheritance tax and care home fees planning and with regard to trusts.

Family:  Partner Jasbinder specialises in childcare cases, representing parents and guardians of the children involved. She is a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel and is supported in the Reading office by qualified solicitors,  Pavandeep Saran and Pamaldeep Holait.

Peter is a partner specialising in family law. He is head of the family department in Richmond and Staines. Dedicated to providing clear and concise advice in often sensitive situations, Peter’s focus is on helping individuals dealing with often difficult and complex divorce, issues with children and financial disputes; he has particular experience in dealing with high-net-value cases.
