Ian Wilson
Ian is a Principal Lawyer and supervises the Cardiff Criminal and Misconduct Department.  He undertakes a full range of criminal litigation and police misconduct matters, including representing clients at inquests involving policing issues.  Ian has undertaken criminal litigation since qualifying in 1983.  He has represented individuals in a wide range of cases, including a defendant in an OFT/CMA prosecution  of an alleged £10 million pyramid scheme, a defendant in civil proceedings brought by the FCA and clients facing health and safety allegations.  In addition, Ian is regularly instructed by the Police Federation of England and Wales and has also presented lectures on topics such as the Advocacy, Criminal Justice Act, Fraud Act, Police Misconduct Regulations and Police Appeals Tribunals.  
John Browne
John Browne
John is a Principal Lawyer and the Head of Industrial Disease at Slater and Gordon in Cardiff. He specialises in claims concerning disease and represents a number of trade unions and is an expert in asbestos related cases and other respiratory complaints. John has successfully run group and class actions to the Court of Appeal and to the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He has also brought specific and novel points of law to the High Court and Supreme Court Judiciary for consideration.
Julian Cason
Julian Cason
Julian Cason is an Associate Lawyer at Slater and Gordon based in Cardiff, Wales. Although Julian’s specialism covers the whole of personal injury, he has a bias towards industrial disease claims, having particular emphasis on asbestos claims and mesothelioma compensation claims. Julian has successfully represented a broad range of claimants and has pursued a large number of asbestos disease legal actions throughout Wales and around Southampton and the southern counties of England. These asbestos claims include secondary exposure of asbestos dust and/or fibres suffered by family members from relations who worked directly with asbestos materials.
Juliette Franklin
Juliette is an Employment Lawyer at Slater and Gordon in Cardiff.  she has practiced in employment law and discrimination law for over two decades.  She has particular expertise in dealing with complex discrimination cases under all strands of anti-discrimination legislation, with a particular interest in disability discrinination, sex and maternity discrimination and whistleblowing.  Juliette has acted in a number of high profile and ground breaking cases, and is very experienced in collective labour law issues,m in particular in advising individuals, employee representatives and unions in redundancy situations.  Juloiette is a regular contributor to both the local and national press and delivers training to clients and fellow practicioners.   Regular contributor to BBC Radio Wales.

Senior associate, Kelly Lloyd-Davies is Team Leader of the complex clinical negligence team in Wales. Based in the Cardiff office, Kelly is an experienced and accomplished clinical negligence solicitor who ably heads the team dealing with a wide range of complex clinical negligence cases whilst running her very own extensive case load of complex and catastrophic claims. A senior and respected manager and lawyer, Kelly was part of the Slater and Gordon national team who devised and implemented the business litigation strategy for the management of complex cases across the organisation. Commercially aware, Kelly is a skilled and very proactive litigator. With nearly two decades of experience, she has gained a vast amount of expertise in advising clients on birth injury claims, delayed or missed diagnosis claims, negligent surgery and treatment claims. Renowned across the sector for her professionalism, knowledge of the law, and empathy, Kelly’s clients include adults, adults with a disability, children, and bereaved families. Working closely with numerous charities and organisations, Kelly is an accredited APIL member and has an excellent understanding of current legislation and case law.  
Lara Bennett
Lara Bennett
Senior associate, Lara Bennett is based in the firm’s Cardiff office where she takes on a supportive and supervisory role with team members, and plays a significant part in building strong relationships for business development. Lara advises clients on a wide range of complex clinical negligence claims, including birth injuries, anaesthetic injury, nerve damage, oncology and gynaecology. She also handles claims involving delay or failure to correctly diagnose, hospital and GP negligence claims, and a number of orthopaedic claims including hip and knee replacement surgery. Renowned for her attention to detail and empathy, Lara is meticulous in ensuring the very best results for her clients. She has handled a number of class actions, delivering excellent results and has a particular interest in birth injury claims, as well as fatal accident and amputation claims. The past year has seen Lara complete her application for Law Society accreditation and continue to play a major role in undertaking settlement meetings with NHS Resolution to assist in bringing claims to a timely settlement.

In addition to managing her individual caseload, Megan provides support on the handling of cases and mentors colleagues to assist in their career development. Nick is a Principal Lawyer specialising in personal injury claims at Slater and Gordon’s Cardiff office. Nick has a large amount of expertise dealing with serious and complex claims in areas of employers liability, road traffic accidents and occupiers/public liability. He also has a developing expertise in sports claims. Nick regularly delivers seminars and lectures upon all aspects of personal injury work.
Wallis Crockford
Associate and Team Leader, Wallis Crockford leads the lower value claims team based in Cardiff. Wallis deals with a wide range of complex clinical negligence claims, including those related to brain injury, orthopaedic injury, birth injury, oncology, and gynaecology. Well respected amongst colleagues and peers for her meticulous attention to detail and client care, Wallis manages a diverse litigated caseload relating to adults with capacity, adults without capacity, and children. In 2019 she was a top 3 finalist for the PIC Legal and AvMA Award for the Clinical Negligence Rising Star. Aside from managing her team and her busy case load, Wallis is involved in many extracurricular activities both in house and externally. A proud member of the firm’s LGBTQ+ network, she regularly meets with other members to discuss ideas for positive action and change within the firm. She regularly attends national Women in Leadership in Law round table meetings to drive positive change for women working in the legal industry and supports various charities. Yvonne is a Principal Lawyer in our Cardiff office. She has over 25 years' experience dealing with complex and high value clinical negligence cases. She has extensive experience in all types of clinical negligence cases, particularly in relation to high value and complex birth injury, brain and spinal/vascular injury claims.Yvonne is frequently mentioned in legal directories and praised for her ability to achieve high awards of damages in maximum severity cases. She has been involved achieving some of the highest value settlements in the UK, including a recent award worth £19 million.Yvonne's expertise was recognised when she was asked to form part of the working party appointed by the Welsh Assembly Government to advise on the implementation of the Redress Act in Wales.
