Career

Wee Meng’s career spans more than 20 years, during which he has represented clients in litigation (including alternative dispute resolution) and in regulatory matters, advised on transactions and general corporate matters, including employment and investigations. He is presently the Head of Telecommunications as well as a Partner in the Energy, Infrastructure & Projects Practice. His practice focuses on key clients in the media and telecommunications, energy and infrastructure industries, as well as government and PPP projects, covering South-east Asia with a focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia.

His in-depth understanding of the industries and the market and regulatory developments for these industries enables him to effectively guide clients through major market transformations and paradigm shifts driven by factors such as market liberalisation, market convergence (particularly involving the telecommunications industry), technological advances and changing market needs.

He has been involved in infrastructure development in Singapore using the PPP model since it was first introduced by Singapore’s Ministry of Finance as a form of public procurement, and continues to be involved in major infrastructure PPP projects in Singapore and across the region.

Wee Meng is also a recognised Senior Accredited Specialist in Data and Digital Economy Law by the Singapore Academy of Law.
