Position

Vo Ha Duyen is admitted to practise law in Vietnam and New York. She holds an LLM from the University of Michigan Law School and Temple University School of Law (Fulbright scholar).

Duyen, currently VILAF's Chairperson advises foreign investors, private equity funds, issuers, and financial institutions on equity and bond investment as well as other debt instruments in private and public companies in Vietnam. Some of her notable deals include KKR's investment in Masan Consumer, Mondelez's acquisition of Kinh Do Corporation, HAGL's international bond listing and bond restructuring transactions, Dragon Capital's investment in a mining project, and Bluescope Steel's global M&A transaction.

She also advises lenders on various finance products, including asset financing transactions, structured finance transactions, and derivatives. She has advised BNP Paribas on financing transactions in Vietnam, including a reserves-based lending transaction relating to an upstream petroleum project in Vietnam and aircraft financing deals; and, SMBC, JBIC, BTMU and Citi on various financing transactions to finance energy and infrastructure projects in Vietnam, including the financing of the Phu My 2.2 BOT power project and the Vung Ang 2 BOT power project.

Duyen has been recognised as a leading lawyer in Vietnam by IFLR1000, Legal 500 and Asialaw.
