Duyen Vo
Duyen Vo
Vo Ha Duyen is admitted to practise law in Vietnam and New York. She holds an LLM from the University of Michigan Law School and Temple University School of Law (Fulbright scholar). Duyen, currently VILAF's Chairperson advises foreign investors, private equity funds, issuers, and financial institutions on equity and bond investment as well as other debt instruments in private and public companies in Vietnam. Some of her notable deals include KKR's investment in Masan Consumer, Mondelez's acquisition of Kinh Do Corporation, HAGL's international bond listing and bond restructuring transactions, Dragon Capital's investment in a mining project, and Bluescope Steel's global M&A transaction. She also advises lenders on various finance products, including asset financing transactions, structured finance transactions, and derivatives. She has advised BNP Paribas on financing transactions in Vietnam, including a reserves-based lending transaction relating to an upstream petroleum project in Vietnam and aircraft financing deals; and, SMBC, JBIC, BTMU and Citi on various financing transactions to finance energy and infrastructure projects in Vietnam, including the financing of the Phu My 2.2 BOT power project and the Vung Ang 2 BOT power project. Duyen has been recognised as a leading lawyer in Vietnam by IFLR1000, Legal 500 and Asialaw.

Ha is a VILAF partner with expertise in Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources.  He regularly counsels Fortune 500 clients on many of the most complex acquisitions including concession right negotiations, project development and financing works and dispute resolutions.  He has been instrumental in drafting major regulations affecting the Vietnam energy sector.  Prior to private practice, Ha managed the Vietnam legal and compliance function of the World Bank/IFC project, Unilever and Unocal (now Chevron).

Hien joined VILAF in 2007. He has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration in various forums including the Vietnamese courts, VIAC and SIAC for more than 15 years.He regularly works with several international law firms in the settlement of maritime, commercial, insurance and investment disputes in Vietnam and other jurisdictions.He has advised a number of multinational insurance, pharmaceutical, chemical, foods and wood manufacturing companies in cross-border M&A transactions as well as their day-to-day operations.In addition to dispute resolution, Hien also advises state-owned entities and multi-national enterprises on general corporate, employment and M&A.Hien was named as a future star by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2018 in Commercial and Transactions. Before becoming a VILAF partner, Quynh was a professor of law at the Ho Chi Minh City Law University for four years. Quynh is admitted to practice law in Vietnam and received his LLB from the Ho Chi Minh City Law University and LLM from University of Wales, Swansea. Quynh regularly advises leading multinational companies in Vietnam in various industries, such as insurance, shipping and real estate. He has also advised multinational real estate developers, pharmaceutical companies and oil & gas companies in cross-border M&A transactions. He also represented VinaCapital and Prudential in a number of M&A transactions involving real property investment projects in Vietnam, and advised a number of group corporate restructuring transactions relating to Vietnam subsidiaries.
