Daniel Allen is an international arbitration specialist who has been based in Japan for well over a decade. In particular, he is the market leader in Japan for investment treaty arbitration.

An experienced advocate, he has acted as lead counsel in all types of cases, including commercial, investment, construction, and sports disputes. He has led on cases under the ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, SIAC, JCAA, and CAS rules, among others.

Although he primarily acts as counsel, he also sits as arbitrator and welcomes inquiries as to potential appointments. He is a panel member at numerous arbitral institutions.
