Position

Romesh Abraham has been a litigation partner in the firm since 1991 and is currently Head of the Labour and Industrial Disputes Department of the firm. His areas of practice include employment and administrative law and general tort and insurance claims.

He has appeared in arbitrations conducted under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) pertaining to cross border joint venture and telecommunications disputes.

Romesh has represented clients on a variety of employment disputes in the Industrial Court, High Court and at appellate level. He has also advised and acted as counsel in administrative and planning law issues and disputes involving local authorities.

He has presented papers at several conferences including the Commonwealth Law Conference, the Asia Pacific In-House Counsel Summit and the Malaysian Law Conference on topics pertaining to the arbitration process, judicial review of administrative action and the preparation and presentation of evidence and legal argument for trial in court.

Career

Romesh was called to the Malaysian Bar in May, 1984 and joined the firm as an associate in the same year. He was made a partner in 1991.
