Carl has experience in a wide range of industries, with a particular interest in the energy, real estate, telecoms and infrastructure sectors.

Elaine is a partner specialising in property investment advice for pension funds, insurance companies and property companies which have included forward purchase of developments, and purchase and lease back transactions, both of single assets and of large property portfolios. Elaine also has many years’ experience in property finance and landlord and tenant. Clients include BAE Systems Pension Fund, ASDA Group Pension Scheme, Oxford Colleges and Value and Income Trust plc.

Gordon Moir
Gordon is a partner in the telecommunications, technology and media regulatory team. Internationally recognised as an expert in the telecoms and media sector, Gordon has provided strategic advice on most of the consolidations in the global telecoms sector in the last decade, either as a participant to the consolidation or as a challenger. His team also specialise in complex issues on market access, regulation of next generation telecoms services, net neutrality issues and data protection. Increasingly he is called on to provide insights into regulation in other sectors, financial services, energy and water as well as issues on convergence, including the internet of things and connected cars, content and broadcasting and sports law issues. Gordon has also substantial experience in developing funding arrangements for clients including for competition law actions. Clients he has been advising during the past year include a number of high profile global telecoms companies and financial services and energy players.

Guy is Head of Commercial Disptes. He has expertise on a wide range of complex disputes including judicial review, regulation and competition law, international litigation, contentious chancery work and cases at every level of the English Courts. With extensive experience of mediations and of various international arbitration and ADR procedures, Guy has been consistently recognised as a leader in his field in the independent legal directories. Most recently, he was instrumental in successfully representing Albion Water Limited in its multimillion pound claim for damages (both compensatory and exemplary) against Welsh Water in the competition appeals tribunal. He has also recently been involved in a series of oil industry disputes.

Jonathan is a partner and specialises in property acting for funds and investors. He has developed a particular specialism in retail investment and development through acting for retail focused clients such as Ellandi and Tristan Capital Partners. He also has extensive experience in acting for Banks on the property aspects of real estate finance transactions advising clients including Bayerische Landesbank, Santander and Deutsche Hypothekenbank AG.

Phil is a corporate partner and a member of the firm’s finance and restructuring group. He advises UK and overseas clients on corporate finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, debt and equity finance and general corporate advice. Phil also advises on the finance and restructuring aspects of real estate finance transactions and acts for a number of leading banks and corporate borrowers. With experience in a wide range of industries, Phil has a particular interest in the hotels and leisure and real estate sectors.
Stephen Hubner

Stephen is senior partner of the firm’s London office and an expert in commercial real estate. A large part of his work is focused on renewable energy projects. He has played a major part in deals involving Scottish Power Renewables, DONG Energy, Mainstream Renewable Power, SMart Wind Limited, and Navitus Bay Development Limited in respect of onshore and offshore projects. Stephen has been recognised as a leading practitioner in commercial property matters, corporate taxation (with particular reference to offshore property investment structures), and PFI/PPP projects. He advises UK and international clients from both public and private sectors and provides strategic and corporate governance advice to those working with and for higher education institutions in developing international programmes in many countries.  Stephen has advised on development projects and innovative letting schemes both in the UK and overseas, including Australia, France, India, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the USA. Walter Blake
Walter Blake
Walter is a corporate finance partner based in London and head of the equity capital markets (ECM) group. His clients include public and private companies as well as a number of investment banks. On the equity capital markets side, he has worked on IPOs, secondary fundraisings and M&A transactions involving companies with operations in the UK and beyond. His ECM practice is balanced between LSE main market and AIM work. Walter works with clients across a range of industry sectors including, in particular, companies in the mining/resources, pharma/life sciences, technology sectors.
