George Chan

Yongmei is a partner in the financial markets group in Beijing. She specialises in banking, cross-border finance, derivatives, debt capital markets and financial regulatory work. She has more than 18 years’ experience of advising major international and local financial institutions, commercial corporations and equity investors on corporate finance, commodity and trade finance, project finance, acquisition and leverage finance, mergers and acquisitions, syndicated lending, debt and corporate restructurings, compliance, structured finance, derivatives and structured products. In recent years, when assisting international finance institutions, she has focused on cross-border structured trade and commodities finance transactions. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced on 1) security on PRC assets; and 2)PRC commodity and foreign exchange regulatory issues, her team has a leading reputation in advising clients on China related cross-border transactions by combing its experience on international STCF business standards with PRC local laws and regulations. Throughout her finance practice, she also has been assisting major Chinese finance institutions and corporate clients in their outbound financing and investments. She has been actively involved in RMB internationalisation development.
