Qualified as a solicitor at Clifford Chance in 1988 and was made partner there in 1994. Spent 30 years at Clifford Chance where he was co-head of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice before joining Stevens & Bolton in 2016.

Member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association and of INSOL. David has also co-authored the chapters on ‘schemes of arrangement’ and on insurance insolvency in ‘Tolley’s Loose-Leaf Insolvency Law’.
