Corporate/commercial: we have the largest team of specialist corporate lawyers in the South East, outside London, which undertakes the full range of corporate and corporate finance work including public and private M&A, private equity, fund raisings and joint ventures. The team is supported by the full range of specialists required to support corporate transactional work, including real estate, tax, planning and environment, employment, immigration and pensions, banking and finance, regulatory, intellectual property and franchising. The firm’s experienced commercial and technology team advises across a wide range of commercial transactions.

Real estate: the team (including construction, property litigation, planning and environment) has a wealth of experience dealing with developers, investors and lenders across a number of sectors including retail, office, residential, industrial, hotels and leisure, education, medical centres and nursing homes.

Commercial litigation: as one of the most well-recognised contentious law practices in the South East, the team has a wealth of experience in advising clients in the full range of corporate and commercial disputes. Dedicated teams manage disputes in relation to construction, employment, information technology, insolvency, insurance, intellectual property, professional indemnity, contentious trusts and probate, and real estate. In addition to handling High Court litigation and international arbitrations, we provide strategic advice in relation to claims management and avoidance.

Employment, immigration and pensions: the firm’s top-ranked team advises on all aspects of employment law and provides a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment services for employers, together with industrial relations advice. It also offers advice on immigration matters and in relation to pensions.

Private client: our experienced private client team advises on all aspects of private client matters including in relation to tax, trusts, estate planning, charities and family law – including capital tax planning, onshore and offshore trusts, planning for non-UK domiciliaries, estate administration, investment taxation, heritage property, landed estates and tax litigation. Much of our work has an international dimension and involves succession and trust based issues, as well as tax concerns.
