Dang The Duc
Dang The Duc is the founder and managing partner of Indochine Counsel. With more than 25 years of experience in business law practice in Vietnam, Duc has extensive expertise advising foreign clients in international and cross-border transactions in such areas of practice as inward investment, corporate & commercial transactions, private equity, M&A, securities & capital market transactions, corporate restructurings, and project financing. Over the past several years, he has been involved in a number of major transactions for leading financial institutions, investment funds and multinational companies. In addition, he has substantial experience in advisory & transactional work for IPR, IT and technology related matters. Nguyen Thi Hong Anh
Nguyen Thi Hong Anh, a partner of Indochine Counsel, co-head of IP & TMT Practice Group. With both legal and technical background, she has been in practice as a patent & trademark attorney for over 20 years, dedicated to establishing, protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights for clients in Vietnam and other countries. Hong Anh served in several positions dealing with IP and technology matters before she joined Indochine Counsel in 2006. She worked as a patent specialist for Pham & Associates from 1995 to 2003, and then vice manager of IP practice at Vision & Associates, Ho Chi Minh City Branch Office. She is especially active in representing companies in prosecution work for patents, designs and trademarks as well as enforcement actions for IPRs. Hong Anh is also extensively involved in advising foreign companies in emerging IP rights and technology related matters in Vietnam such as internet, media and telecoms. Pham Thi Thanh Lan
Pham Thi Thanh Lan obtained a BA in foreign trade economics from Hanoi Foreign Trade University in 2004 and an LLB from Ho Chi Minh City Law University in 2012. She has over 19 years of consulting experience with focus on foreign investment in Vietnam. She has assisted numerous foreign investors in setting up companies and factories in Vietnam, from identification of potential partners, land acquisitions, warehouse/office leasing, and preparation of feasibility studies and legal documentation for licenses, and attending to licensing matters with the authorities. In addition, Lan is active in commercial property transactions, advising clients in land acquisitions, joint ventures, and operational issues as well. Before Lan joined the firm in early 2007, she worked for several years as an investment consultant for Vision & Associates, where she handled foreign invested projects for clients in Vietnam. Phan Anh Vu
Phan Anh Vu is a partner and leads a legal team at Indochine Counsel from its establishment in 2006. He has over 19 years of legal advisory and business consulting experience in Vietnam, specializing in inward investment, mergers & acquisitions, corporate & commercial, and property & construction. He also has significant experience with securities, project financing transactions, mining & energy, and insolvency & restructuring. Prior to joining Indochine Counsel, he worked as an associate and deputy legal manager for a major local law firm, Vision & Associates (2004-2006). He began his career as in-house counsel for 7 years at a large State-owned company (28 Corporation / AGTEX), operating in the fields of garment & textile, fuel petrol and real estate. With in-depth knowledge of business law, Vu has advised and acted as a legal counsel in a number of investment projects and commercial transactions for some major foreign and local investors in Vietnam, including Gimpex Limited, Vietnam Alliance Minerals, Hoan My Medical Corp, Victoria Healthcare, ILA Vietnam, Raffles Education, HR2B Vietnam, Turner & Townsend, Sumitomo Electric Device Innovations, Chevron Lubricant Vietnam Ltd., Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO), Savico Corporation, Golden Pig JSC, Saigon Paper, Trung Nguyen Group, Triumph Vietnam, Vietfund Management, Dong A Fund Management Corp, Southern Bank, Gulf Developers, Guthrie GTS Limited, and ZarubezhEnergoProekt Europe Ltd. The training course organized by CEDR, the largest conflict management and resolution consultancy in the world with the collaboration of the Ministry of Justice, IFC Vietnam and VIAC (Vietnam International Arbitration Centre) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
