A technically adroit and commercially astute lawyer, Mr. Bandyopadhyay carries a decade-plus of proven experience in Litigation and ADR Practice (domestic and international).

He is well versed with domestic and multijurisdictional intricacies of international arbitration matters (institutional as well as ad-hoc) and has represented high stake matters. He practices as counsel before various courts and tribunal, including the Supreme Court of India, the High Courts in the country and Tribunals/Forums.

Nilava is known to develop winning legal strategies for clients and helps minimize losses and maximize profits. His excellent track record has earned him admiration from his peers and clients.

Nilava was appointed as Special Counsel by the New Delhi Municipal Council. He has also represented prestigious government agencies and PSUs in Arbitration as well as Litigation matters involving disputes in infrastructure and construction.

Additionally, he has extensive experience in handling Domestic and International Arbitration matters (institutional as well as ad-hoc) under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC), the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA), the Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DAC), the Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR) and the SCOPE Forum of Conciliation & Arbitration (SFCA).
