Alastair is the Executive Chairman at CFG. He specialises in complex catastrophic injury cases and has particular expertise in claims involving brain injury, psychiatric damage and chronic pain. He prides himself on ensuring that clients receive appropriate treatment and support as part of their rehabilitation as well as maximising damages. Alastair has a proven track record and is regularly instructed upon the recommendation of clients and peers alike as a solicitor with expertise in handling complex high-value claims. Recent settlements have had a valuation of £2.5m, £1.35m and £1.3m for brain-damaged clients, £900k for a client with a brachial plexus injury, £575k for a client with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and £450k for a client with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Alastair is the practice’s contact on Headway’s Brain Injuries Association Personal Injury Solicitors List and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

Trained Paul Rooney Partnership 1994-1996; qualified 1996; partner 1999. Qualified as an assistant solicitor at the Paul Rooney Partnership and stayed there for 18 months before moving to Freeclaim Solicitors (now CFG Law) in 1998. The following year made partner and in 2013 became managing director.
