Phoenix Legal Bolsters Leadership Team with Key Promotions

Chandni Chawla was named Partner; Ashita Bali and Sukanya Bhattacharya were elevated to Associate Partner Phoenix Legal, a leading full-service/ multi-disciplinary Indian law firm with principal offices in Delhi and Mumbai, has announced the elevation of three senior lawyers to key leadership positions within the firm, reinforcing its capabilities across core practice areas. Reflecting the firm's commitment to recognising exceptional talent from within its ranks, Chandni Chawla has been promoted to Partner, while Ashita Bali and Sukanya Bhattacharya have been elevated to Associate Partners. Chandni Chawla, now a Partner, is a key member of the firm's corporate practice. Her expertise encompasses foreign direct investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, and advising multinational corporations on a spectrum of general corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, including anti-corruption and data privacy laws. Ashita Bali, elevated to Associate Partner, specialises in Projects, Energy, and Infrastructure. She has extensive experience advising on diverse projects in power (conventional and renewable), mining, oil & gas, and public-private partnerships, including significant work in urban infrastructure development and project finance. Sukanya Bhattacharya, also promoted to Associate Partner, has been instrumental in the firm's corporate practice, mainly focusing on venture capital funding, private equity transactions, and mergers & acquisitions, often advising investors and companies in the technology and edtech sectors. Phoenix Legal Welcomes New Partner

Phoenix Legal is delighted to announce the addition of Aman Avinav to its partnership Aman brings rich and diverse experience spanning over a decade in dispute resolution, particularly commercial & regulatory litigation, arbitration and white collar crime. He represents clients before various courts in India including the Supreme Court, High Courts of New Delhi, Bombay, Punjab & Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Assam. He also has extensive experience before forums such as TDSAT, APTEL, NCLT and AERA and related appellate and ancillary proceedings. Aman has defended clients against investigation by the Police, ED, EOW and SFIO and has successfully represented them against summoning, framing of charge and convictions in prosecutions filed by the said authorities subsequently. He advises and has represented clients in arbitrations both ad hoc and institutional and related court proceedings for interim relief, appointment of arbitrator, enforcement of awards. Aman regularly advises clients on issues pertaining to insolvency laws, information technology laws, environmental laws and criminal laws. Prior to Phoenix Legal, Aman had established and built his independent practice in New Delhi since 2018.    Before that, he was at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.
