David is a very experienced litigator, accustomed to providing practical and commercial advice to corporate bodies and individuals on disputes of all sizes and complexity. He also advises clients on risk identification, avoidance and management. In addition, heis a qualified mediator via the ADR Group, skilled in appearing as an advocate at innumerable mediations. Throughout his career, David has been actively involved in advising insolvency practitioners, funders, companies and directors on insolvency, turnaround and business reconstruction matters. He provides proactive advice on the wide range of issues that arise in insolvency and turnaround, including contract, property, and employment rights. He has a particular expertise in contentious insolvency matters.

Debbie Brett is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial team at Blandy & Blandy.She advises clients on all aspects of commercial and regulatory law and is also experienced in handling commercial disputes.Debbie advises commercial clients in relation to regulatory and compliance matters, including online trading, GDPR and data protection and anti-bribery. She frequently deals with regulators on behalf of her clients, such as the Office of Fair Trading, the Information Commissioner and the Advertising Standards Authority. Debbie has particular experience in relation to intellectual property, advertising and marketing, advising on copy, brand protection and defence of current campaigns. Debbie also provides bespoke training on business regulation and compliance.

He acts as Attorney for a number of clients, assisting them with the day-to-day management of their affairs and also regularly acts as Executor or Trustee for clients. Jonathan works closely with the rest of his team, who are specialists in Court of Protection matters. They regularly act for people who are under the jurisdiction of the Court of Protection and are experienced in acting as independent Deputies for incapacitated people, and making deputyship applications for family members who wish to be appointed.

Karen Jones is a partner in the Planning and Environmental team at Blandy & Blandy and a highly regarded planning and environmental lawyer with over 30 years' experience. Karen's expertise includes strategic planning advice, planning appeals, public inquiries and environmental law, particularly nature conservation law. She has practised as a parliamentary lawyer and had considerable involvement in The Channel Tunnel Rail Link project. Karen has also worked in Local Government (in roles including interim head of legal and solicitor to the council), where the majority of her projects involved significant planning, environmental and conservation considerations. Karen has published a practitioner's guide, Conservation and Land Use (2000) and written articles for sector journals, including a regular column in Waste Planning, while also featuring in the media. Karen is a legal associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute (LARTPI) and holds both an LLB (Hons) Law and LLM Environmental Law from University College London. She previously taught at the College of Law and has lectured at the University of Reading's renowned School of Real Estate & Planning, part of Henley Business School.

Sue Dowling is head of the Employment Law team at Blandy & Blandy and also a nationally recognised expert in Venue Licensing.An advocate by training, Sue deals primarily with complex employment litigation involving unlawful discrimination, with particular emphasis on mental impairment disability discrimination matters. Sue provides strategic employment law/HR advice to CEOs, MD's, finance directors and HR directors, assisting them in their business decisions and with a view to minimising the risk of employment litigation.  She frequently assists company clients in handling the restructuring of management tiers/teams and, where necessary, the departure of high-level executives – adopting a business, no-nonsense, pragmatic approach.  She is an expert in the tax aspects of exiting arrangements (through Settlement Agreements or otherwise). She also advises clients regarding business immigration matters, including Intra-Company Tier 2 transfers and ‘Business Visitors’ criteria. Sue is a regular advocate (in Tribunals and before Committees).Also a nationally recognised expert in venue licensing, Sue advises major sports, entertainment and leisure venues in relation to alcohol and regulated entertainment licensing. She also provides advice in relation to General Safety and Special Safety Certification of Sports Grounds; Gambling (including Track Betting Licences); PPL; PRS and Wedding Licences.

Tim Clark is a partner in the Employment Law team at Blandy & Blandy.Tim trained as a litigator and then specialised in employment law, developing a particular expertise in dealing with re-organisation, restructuring, redundancy and TUPE issues. He is very experienced in the strategic aspects of large scale workforce projects. Tim also acts for senior executives advising on complex service agreements, commission and bonus arrangements, exit provisions and termination packages. He is an expert in the tax aspects of these arrangements.
