Julia Glukhikh
Julia Glukhikh
Julia completed pupillage with the firm in January 2024. Her developing practice encompasses tax litigation and dispute resolution. During pupillage, Julia has worked on high-profile VAT fraud cases assisting counsel with specialised research and case management in the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal. She has also helped to prepare cases in the High Court and in the Court of Appeal. Julia has also had exposure to politically sensitive HNW disputes and is developing a firm understanding of various DTTs in operation. Before joining JHA, Julia worked for a boutique litigation firm in London, where she participated in complex high-value commercial disputes.
Lynnette Bober
Lynnette Bober
Lynnette is a Director in the Joseph Hage Aaronson tax team.  She has specialised in private client tax for over 15 years and has a wealth of experience in acting for high-net-worth individuals on tax and trust matters. She has also acted for trustees (of both UK and offshore trusts) and estates. Lynnette specialises in income and capital taxes including in relation to complex offshore structures.  She also has an extensive knowledge of the administration of the tax system and often represents clients subject to HMRC enquiries and investigations or needing to make a disclosure. Lynnette contributes to various technical publications and is a committed volunteer with respect to the private client tax work of the professional bodies. Lynnette won Taxation’s inaugural Rising Star Award (in 2009), was named as one of the inaugural Tax Journal 40 under 40s (in 2011) and most recently she was shortlisted for Taxation’s 2019 outstanding contribution to tax award.  She was also one of the Judges for the 2022 Taxation Awards.
Megan Durnford
Megan Durnford
Megan was called to the Bar in 2016 and her practice is focused on tax disputes. She has a broad range of experience, having worked on both direct and indirect tax cases, such as her significant involvement in the successful FTT trial as part of the PPCN Group Litigation. She has represented clients at multiple levels of the UK courts and tax tribunals, including hearings before the Supreme Court which involved a case described by that court as unparalleled in complexity, difficulty and vast sums at stake. Megan also assisted in the editing and compilation of ‘The Tax Disputes & Litigation Review’ (8th edition).
Thomas Hemming
Thomas Hemming
Thomas completed pupillage with the firm in January 2024. His practice focuses on tax disputes. Thomas has worked on several complex direct tax cases with an international dimension in proceedings before the tax tribunals and the High Court. He has also helped to prepare such cases in the Court of Appeal. Thomas has also assisted in indirect tax cases, contractual disputes, judicial review, and regulatory matters. Before joining JHA, Thomas worked in the tax department of a national firm, where he dealt with a broad range of direct and indirect tax issues for corporate and private clients and also assisted with contractual and regulatory disputes.
