Roe Lawyers is a well-established boutique criminal and regulatory law firm with national and international reach. The firm acts for individuals and companies under investigation by government agencies such as the police, HMRC, Serious Fraud Office, local authorities and professional bodies such as Nursing and Midwifery Council, Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Types of work undertaken
Serious and general crime: we act for clients under investigation for the full range of criminal offences. The majority of the work is pre-charge which ensures a swift outcome to investigations and proceedings. We act for people at the police station, the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal
Corporate and financial crime: we advise companies, directors and individuals in matters involving financial crime, a number of which have a cross jurisdictional element. We advise clients under investigation regarding money laundering and proceeds of crime offences, including cash seizure/forfeiture, civil recovery, confiscation, freezing orders, receivership and restraint.
Local authority investigations: we act for individuals and/or companies in investigations and associated prosecutions such as breaching building regulations, health and safety regulations, environmental and licensing regulations.
Private prosecutions: we advise both individuals and companies wishing to institute proceedings in the criminal courts for the full range of criminal offences, in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.
Regulatory proceedings: we act for individuals facing professional disciplinary action brought by bodies such as the Bar Council of England and Wales, the General Medical Council, General Dental Council, Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.
