About

Premier Legal LLP is a niche employment law practice, dealing in all aspects of employment law including advisory, transactional support work, employment tribunal representation, restrictive covenants and the negotiation of settlements.

The firm: Premier Legal LLP was established in June 2003 by Sarah Robinson. The firm has a team of three highly experienced employment law specialists. It is able to offer clients a fixed fee annual retainer package that includes ongoing support, regular updates and insurance against legal costs, awards and settlements, which has proved extremely popular.

Results-driven, successful and technically strong, the firm has a reputation for being responsive, professional and expert in all aspects of employment law. The firm makes a point of always visiting clients to gain greater knowledge of their business and the environment within which their employees work. This enables the firm to give bespoke advice. It offers a personal service with an experienced lawyer being responsible for each case from start to finish. It has a strong background in advising on TUPE issues, and is also experienced in trade union issues, having successfully obtained a High Court injunction on behalf of a manufacturing client to prevent strike action.

Premier Legal acts for clients throughout the UK, including several with international interests, and has a reputation for giving commercial advice and understanding the needs of clients. The vast majority of its work is generated by recommendations from existing clients and other professionals with whom it has worked. Its client base is diverse and includes a number of hotels, bars and restaurants, Nottingham Gymnastics Academy, retailers, day nurseries, care homes, manufacturers and wholesalers, recruitment agencies, a pharmaceutical company and a group of quarries. Clients range from SMEs to listed companies and an international conglomerate, Reignwood Investments. Other names include Diurnal Group Plc, Milltek Sport Limited, Nottingham BID, Salop Sand and Gravel Supply Company Limited, School Trends and Wildmoor Quarry. It acts in partnership with the Nottingham BID, which represents businesses throughout Nottingham, and counts several other law firms among its clients.

Premier Legal has offices in London and Nottingham and from those bases is able to work throughout the UK to deliver services. Most matters are dealt with according to the laws of England and Wales, but advocates at Premier Legal are just as comfortable working within the Scottish system where the employment tribunal rules are quite different.
