Senior Employment Lawyer / consultant

Adrian has been an employment lawyer associated with Premier Legal since 2006, he has worked as Legal Counsel for Associa/NFU and for Chubb Security. Adrian headed the employment team at DBS in Birmingham which was accredited by Legal 500 in 2012/3/4.

Expertise – Adrian is a specialist employment lawyer who can advise on all elements of employment law from unpaid wages to unfair dismissal, complicated settlement agreements to contracts and staff handbooks. Adrian has drafted or reviewed contracts of employment and employee handbooks for several household name companies. While working for the National Farmers Union, Adrian became an expert in agricultural employment issues and is a member of the Agricultural Lawyers Association, he is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Experience – Adrian became a lawyer after a long career in business, working as a manager for a multinational corporation. For the last 15 years he has concentrated solely on employment law issues and has regularly advised at Board level on business restructures, takeovers and transfers. Adrian is an accomplished speaker and trainer who can provide seminars and courses on all aspects of employment law. Adrian has recently worked with Barclays bank in the West Midlands providing input at awareness sessions on Pension Auto Enrolment. Adrian has written articles for several magazines and newspapers, he has also contributed on radio and television on subjects as diverse as responsibility at office parties and being too fat to be a fireman. Although Adrian’s practice tends to be providing advice to business he has also successfully represented several claimants and did, in fact, represent the winning Claimant in the case of Sethi v Greentech which has become authority for the absolute right of a woman to return to work after maternity leave even if her marriage to to her employer’s son has broken down. Adrian is on the Legal Panel for ARAG the award winning legal insurance provider.

Outside of work Adrian enjoys walking his dog and the very occasional round of golf. He likes to sail his small yacht, Free Spirit, and enjoys racing his MK1 Toyota MR2 with the 750 Motor ClubAdrian is on the Executive committee of 40th Leicester, Anstey and Newtown Linford Scout Group.
