Catherine regularly advises private equity sponsors, investment banks and investment managers on the structuring, formation, regulation and governance of investment fund structures (across a broad range of asset classes), their downstream transactions (including finance transactions) and exit mechanisms. She also advises institutional, strategic and seed investors in connection with their investments into investment funds. Recognised as a trusted adviser and first port of call for clients and intermediaries seeking Cayman Islands legal advice, Hector regularly appears as Leading Counsel before the Cayman Islands Grand Court and Court of Appeal. He has also appeared before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. Hector's work focuses on advising and representing trustees, settlors and beneficiaries in complex cross-border trust and estate, regulatory, fraud and asset tracing, insolvency, contentious property and employment disputes. He speaks regularly at trust conferences and seminars, and has written articles for Solicitors Journal, New Law Journal, PLC Magazine and Private Client Business. Peter is a Partner in the Litigation team in the Mourant Cayman Islands office.  He has practised with the firm in the Cayman Islands since the beginning of 2008. Over the last 15 years Peter has acted in many of the largest and most complex cases to be litigated in the Cayman Islands. He acts for the Algosaibi family in their on-going claims against Maan Al Sanea and his companies, successfully obtaining a US$2.5 billion judgment against Mr Al Sanea and settling certain claims. He also acts for the liquidators of the Madoff impacted Primeo fund, in successfully resolving litigation against the Trustee in New York and the Cayman Islands, the investment manager, the Herald feeder fund – where the Privy Council has found in favour of Primeo on both the creditor and shareholder distribution issues – and in the litigation against the administrator and custodian. Peter has acted in a number of precedent setting fund liquidations (including Lancelot, Belmont and Heriot), large fraud cases (including Madoff, Dynamic Decisions, Fletcher and Alpha Re) and high profile restructurings (including Arcapita, CEVA, Eircom, Ocean Rig and Tailored Brands). He is regularly instructed to make urgent applications to obtain interim relief and/or to appoint provisional liquidators/receivers. He also has experience of contentious regulatory matters, including pursuing judicial review proceedings to challenge MLAT and regulatory requests, and have advised on a number of crypto claims.

Ramesh is a Partner in the Mourant Cayman Islands office, specialising in private equity, non-contentious restructuring and corporate finance transactions. He advises on corporate transactions relating to Cayman Islands entities (companies, partnerships, LLCs), such as take-overs/take-private, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder/investor arrangements, injection of capital, return of funds to investors, SPACs and IPOs. In his non-contentious or consensual restructuring practice, Ramesh advises upon the myriad of options from the Cayman Islands restructuring toolkit, including: debt to equity swaps, golden share rights, participations, warrants, options, redemptions, repurchases, surrenders, contributions, amalgamations, de-mergers and anything else relevant to achieve the intended goal. On finance and security transactions, Ramesh advises upon the granting of valid security, perfection, enforcement of security, repo transactions, swap transactions and Cayman Islands legal opinions.

Simon is a Partner in the Litigation and Insolvency team in the Mourant Cayman Islands office with extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring matters, valuation disputes and fraud and asset tracing. Simon is instructed by financial institutions in respect of the largest and most complex disputes currently before the Courts and is currently instructed in the Fidelity National appraisal and in several other forthcoming matters. He successfully led a multi-disciplinary team in the Nord Anglia s.238 fair value appraisal trial, winning a judgment in excess of US$130 million. In the last decade, Simon has acted in most of the major insolvency matters including Madoff, Sphinx, Belmont and DD Growth and currently act for the for creditors in the liquidations of Platinum Partners, the Direct Lending Income Fund and the collapse of the Abraaj Group. He led the team in the Arcapita Bank restructuring and has advised in other high profile matters including Zohar Funds, Luckin Coffee, China Fishery Group, Ocean Rig and Founding Partners.
